China expressed readiness today, to support the building of the third Turkish nuclear power station (NPS), which has been under planning for some time.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, speaking at the Turkish – Chinese business forum, said that Chinese companies are ready and willing to assist Turkey in building its third NPS. The bilateral business forum was held on the occasion of the visit of the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to China this week.
President Erdogan, for his part, stressing that Turkey has been planning large investments in the energy area, said they were expecting Chinese companies to participate in them.
China is in the process of constructing 28 nuclear reactors, which is at least half of the new reactor developments in the World.
Meanwhile Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Taner Yildiz, said in a recent explanation on the subject, that no decision had been reached yet on the location of the third NPS.
