WNU Istanbul Nuclear Technology Course on “The World Nuclear Industry Today” successfully held at the historical city of Istanbul, during 24-26 April 2019.
WNU Istanbul-an exceptional nuclear event- is organized by the WORLD NUCLEAR UNIVERSITY (WNU) in local association with NUTEK Inc. and with institutional support of Turkish Atomic Energy Authority (TAEK) and TASAM WORLD.
WNU Istanbul Nuclear Technology Course was specially designed for Turkey and Newcomer Countries. The distinguished lecturers and participants enjoyed the intense lectures, round tables, networking, certificate ceremony, technical tour to the nuclear research center and social events. Timing of the course in April, has made the sightseeing an enjoyable occasion in the historical city of Istanbul and the Bosphorus with millions of tulips, and newly blossomed purple Judas trees.
The course covered a wide range of current topics of the nuclear industry with the presentations of the most distinguished speakers of the World Nuclear University faculty, with a global perspective and an exciting vision of the future. The course program addressed energy supply and demand, nuclear technology with all critical aspects, 3S concept (Safety, Security, Safeguards), safety culture, nuclear power plant project management and effective nuclear communication within the framework of 20 hours of intense and dynamic activity. Two roundtable meetings were also held in the course on localization and Small Modular Reactors (KMR).
