HUMAN-CENTRICITY AS A KEY FACTOR OF ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY IN NUCLEAR INDUSTRY

Side event organized by Rosatom as a part of 66th IAEA General Assembly, 29 September 2022, Vienna

Human-centricity is discussed as a key factor of organizational sustainability in nuclear industry. At the session distinguished speakers discussed the on-going transformation of the global labor market, its consequences for development of human resources for the nuclear industry, as well as the relevance of a human-centric approach to retain talented employees and create conditions for their professional growth and well-being.

Speaking on behalf of NUTEK, B. Gül Göktepe talked about human-centered design principles and said that the Akkuyu NPP BOO model should be considered as an excellent model as a tool for creating an environment between different cultures for rapid learning and training in advanced nuclear reactor technology, and that human-centred approaches should be used in localization studies in new normal lives. She stated that it can open new horizons with various opportunities for new research and application in human factors studies.
