Nuclear Industry Suppliers Conference was organized parallel to the Nuclear Power Plants IV. Expo & VIII Summit. B. Gül Göktepe, who attended the Nuclear Power Plants Summit held parallel to the fair as an invited speaker, made a presentation on "Environmental Safety and Nuclear Power Generation" during Session 1 of the conference “Nuclear power, modern trends and experience in nuclear power construction”. In her speech, which attracted great attention, Göktepe described the effect of climate change as a nightmare all over the world, and then explained the critical features of nuclear in terms of environmental safety, and then she described the environmental interaction of reactors with seven criteria. She made a statement that nuclear energy is one of the most important parts of the solution in the fight against climate change. She touched upon the engineering safety systems of NPPs and the importance of 3S systems against risk concerns of public. Explaining the evolution of nuclear power over time, she finished her presentation with the philosophy of perfectionism, symbolized by rotating atoms and rotating dervishes, with a Sufi whirling.
